Orange Sherbet Sky

First of all, why the hell is sherbet spelled without an 'r'? I pronounce it sherbeRt! But I'm dedicated to my title, so sherbET it is. Bah!
On a lighter note, this was a particularly lovely view from my back yard.

Sky Parfait

I took this from the balcony of my dad's resort room when he visited in the warm months of 2010. Arizona sunsets are one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. This particular picture has layers of color that I adore. (Taken just south of the Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road.)

Valley Metro

I took this photo of a city bus on a drive through downtown Phoenix. I like the confusion it causes on the eye. Tricky window reflections!

Shrine of the Porcelain Gods

I've posted this photo on my other blog, but I like it so much I feel it's worth a re-post. Soon this will be the centerpiece in my bathroom, which is my human equivalent of a fire hydrant. I am constantly entranced by the oddest things.

Inspiring Photography

Urban decay is one of my favorite things to photograph. I think these photos are SO amazing!

Intro

I am a 5th generation Arizonan, born and raised. I love photographing ghost towns and industrial areas and still find myself surprised by the unexpected beauty of the desert. I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this blog, but I want to share what I love about Arizona with everyone who's interested in listening. It's also a damn good excuse to get out and stretch my tentacles into towns I've never had a chance to visit. Once I get my Billy Mobile up and running, the weekends will be our playground.
